Needs
Robichaud Transportation Services was a new start up transportation logistics company that was in the market for a solutions provider to supply a public facing website and a transportation logistics administration system. The owners of Robichaud have been in the industry for many years and have had the experience of working on numerous platforms for both dispatching and operating a transportation logistics business. The challenges with existing applications were that they were neither online or they were too expensive for a start up small operation. As well the lesser priced versions were either not online nor had the flexibility required by Robichaud to fulfill its business goals.
Solution
After investigating the business requirements provided by Robichaud. the SysAIO team felt that with the existing base technology and with knowledge of scheduling and logistics type businesses fitted the goals of SysAIO and that they would be able to tackle such a project as this. The development team was given the mandate to create the necessary tools to operate the day to day operations and dispatch requirements for Robichaud. Along with the challenge this has now become a new product offering for SyAIO and is named "TransAIO" Transportation All in One, enabling SysAIO to enter into another industry segment with very similar requirements to the existing ones they currently serve.
Result
The public website is now completed and the administration system is in its final phase of development, the teams at both SysAIO and Robichaud are closely working together to complete the last aspects of the solution. The final result will be that Robichaud will be functioning on a fully online application operating its business. The success of this project has so far inspired Robichaud to start discussions on a number of other add on projects in developing a warehouse management system to complete its operations cycle for their business.
